GOOD NIGHT IN: REMEMBER ME (R2 DVD) ***

"A drama centred on two lovers whose new found relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies isn't really treading new ground for Pattinson, but at least he's a little bit more likeable here, as are all the cast in Allen Coulter's surprising romantic spectacle.

Emilie de Ravin's performance is the standout, although whippersnapper Ruby Jerins (one to remember) gives her a good run for her money, while Chris Cooper's Sgt. Neil Craig suffers from a lack of closure in the final third.

And what a final third. A marmite moment if ever there was one, this compelling revenge movie sticks its neck out, disappointingly ditches the conflict promised, replacing it with a moment that sits out of place, yet somehow works. A romantic  fable for those that like to live life happily after."
