IN OUR SIGHTS: THE MONSTER

WHAT IS IT? Remember The Strangers? You loved it, right? The Monster is a new movie from director Bryan Bertino. It's about a mother and daughter whose car gets attacked by some kind of monster after it crashes on an isolated backwoods road. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.

WHY? The Strangers had a simple premise but it too really delivered on the scares front. We don't see much of the monster in the trailer below but here's hoping it lives up to the early promise. It certainly looks like it has teeth. The Monster stars Zoe Kazan and Ella Ballentine.

WHEN? The Monster gets a limited theatrical release in the U.S. from November 11 but is already available to watch through DirectTV.
