NEWS: ROB ZOMBIE WELCOMES YOU TO MURDER WORLD!

Love him or hate him, Rob Zombie is the kind of director who will not be ignored. He's a definite favourite here at Twistedwing so news of his latest movie is very welcome indeed. No trailer as of yet but we'll bring you more on this when we have it. The new film will feature regular Zombie favourites Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Richard Brake and Elizabeth Daily.

Plans for 31 were first announced in May 2014 via a poster (above) that shows the words "a Rob Zombie film", a bloody clown face, and the number "31". Speculation was rife and Zombie was quick to point out that 31 would not follow Captain Spaulding (House of 1000 Corpses), nor would it be a new Halloween movie. Probably a good thing...

Zombie also confirmed that he would use crowd-funding to cover part of the movie's costs, because "as the years go on, the game changes all the time, and a movie that you could get made years ago, you cannot get made any more, because the business changes, things change." He added that crowd-funding would allow him to make a movie that might not have been otherwise funded traditionally and that "if you wanna do stuff outside the system, you’ve gotta function outside the system."

Synopsis: Five people are kidnapped on the days leading up to Halloween and held hostage in a place called Murder World. While trapped, they must play a violent game called 31 where the mission is to survive 12 hours against a gang of evil clowns.
