TRAILER: NOU SHOU SAKURETSU GIRL

Sometimes it's nice to learn something. For example, Vocaloid is a singing voice synthesiser. The software enables users to synthesise singing by typing in lyrics and melody, whilst utilising synthesising technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. Which brings us neatly to our next fix of J-horror.

Nou Shou Sakuretsu Girl is based on a popular Vocaloid of the same name, and tells the story of Hana Ichii, who attends a school that she has admired since childhood. One day, she wakes up to find herself locked in a cage with her classmates. They are forced to take part in a survival game using their cellphones. Which involves plenty of running and screaming...

The trailer hints at a modern twist on classroom classic, Battle Royale, but it's too early to heap such lofty praise on this one. Directed by Yuichi Abe (Ultraman Zero: The Movie), Nou Shou Sakuretsu Girl is due out in Japan on July 25, 2015. Check out the trailer below.
