There's a good chance we won't be watching Fifty Shades of Grey at TwistedWing, and that was a decision we made way before the abysmal reviews came in. The Duke of Burgundy however, might be worth a look. It's a dazzling exploration of romance, relationships and desire from the multi-award winning director of Berberian Sound Studio. Or so we're told.

We weren't big fans of the critically acclaimed Berberian Sound Studio either, but that doesn't mean it didn't find an audience. Judging by the trailer, The Duke has mood and style to spare. You be the judge on April 27, 2015 when The Duke of Burgundy is released on UK DVD and Blu-Ray courtesy of Artificial Eye.

Synopsis: In an unnamed European town, in an unspecified year, live Cynthia and Evelyn. Every day Evelyn cycles to Cynthia’s mansion to work as a lowly maid – and every day the cruel, vindictive Cynthia inflicts countless sadistic humiliations upon her. But as the days go by and the pair begin to reveal themselves, it soon becomes clear that the humiliation may not all be of Cynthia’s design…
