TRAILER: LOVE & PEACE

Having watched, loved and reviewed Why Don't You Play In Hell? just last week, we're definitely in the mood for all things Sion Sono. Which is kind of handy really, because here's the first main trailer for his latest offering, Love & Peace. It might be a good idea to read the synopsis first because, in typical Sono fashion, it all looks a tad bonkers. Love & Peace opens in Japan on June 27, 2015.

Synopsis: In the summer of 2015 in Tokyo, Ryoichi (Hiroki Hasegawa) dreamt of becoming a punk rocker, but became a timid salary-man at a musical instrument parts company instead. He has feelings for Kumiko Aso's young heroine, but he can't tell her how he feels.

One day, he has a fateful meeting with a turtle on the rooftop of a department store. He names the turtle Pikadon but his co-workers laugh at him. Ryoichi throws Pikadon into the toilet and soon regrets what he did. The turtle goes through sewer and meets an old man (Toshiyuki Nishida) who lives in the underground. That's where our adventure really kicks in.
