It's always great to see a new Korean movie released here in the UK, so when a film comes out that broke Korea's all-time box office record, we really do have something to shout about. The Admiral: Roaring Currents stars Choi Min Sik as 16th century admiral Yi Sun Shin, one of the most revered national heroes of Korean history.
Director Kim Han Min, who achieved blockbuster success in 2011 with one of our favourite Korean movies, War of the Arrows, brings with him the best naval battle action scenes in Korean cinema. Winner of Best Film and Best Actor at the Daejong Film Awards and Best Director at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, Roaring Currents is coming to UK DVD and Blu-ray on July 6, 2015.
Also starring Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo Jin Woong (A Hard Day), Jin Goo (26 Years), No Min Woo (Ghastly), Kim Tae Hoon (The Man From Nowhere), Otani Ryohei (War of the Arrows) and Lee Jung Hyun (Juvenile Offender), this is one blockbuster you don't want to miss.
