We never honestly thought we would cover a new Adam Sandler movie at Twistedwing, but how can we ignore a movie that pits Happy Gilmore against Pac-Man and Donkey Kong? Adam Sandler hasn't made a good film since 2002 and in truth, the parts of this trailer that don't involve videogame characters of yesteryear do look a little bit tired. However, and it is a big however, this is a movie that pits Pac-Man and Donkey Kong against the entire human race! We may have mentioned that already. Directed by Chris Columbus (Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief), Pixels opens in the US on July 24 and the UK on August 12, 2015.
Synopsis: In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.
