Love him or hate him (and just for the record we love him
here at Twistedwing), Sion Sono (Cold Fish, Love Exposure, Suicide Club) is
back in action. Based on the manga series "Shinjuku Swan Kabukicho Skauto
Sabaibaru" by Ken Wakui, Shinjuku Swan is set for release in Japan on May
30, 2015.
Set in Kabukicho, a red-light
district in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Shinjuku Swan tells the story of a
jobless man called Tatsuhiko Shiratori (Gou Ayano) and a scout named
Matora (Yusuke Iseya) who recruits girls on the streets to work in the adult
entertainment business. Matora takes a liking to Tatsuhiko and
introduces him to the world in which he works.
Big, bold, brash and undoubtedly bonkers, Shinzuku Swan is
pretty much guaranteed a release on our shores, though
we may have to wait a little while for that. For now though, sit back and enjoy
the teaser trailer. We'll keep you up to date with any further insights when we
get them. Like, for example, English subtitles maybe...
