The Target was released in cinemas back home on 30 April and
we've been looking forward to a DVD release ever since. Well, good news.
Chang's (Death Bell) thumping thrill-ride is set for a Korean home release
(with English subtitles) on 10 September.
Director Juhn Jai-Hong was first hired to direct the movie Point
Blank but was removed prior to filming. According to distributor CJ E&M,
the director and his production company, Yong Film, suffered 'creative
differences' that led to his departure. That ol’ 'creative differences'
chestnut, eh? Filming was postponed until 17 October 2013, with Chang taking on
directorial duties in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.
Synopsis: While on the run from the police, Yeo Hoon (Ryu
Seung Ryong) is hit by a car and brought into the hospital. After treating him
at the hospital, doctor Tae Joon is knocked out, and his wife is kidnapped. To
get his wife back, Tae Joon must help Yeo Hoon leave the hospital and escort
him back to the kidnapper. However, escaping the pursuit of tough-as-nails
Inspector Jeong (Kim Sung Ryung) is only the beginning, as Tae Joon is forced
to strike an alliance with Yeo Hoon to discover the truth behind the
conspiracy. Things get boomy. AW
