THE TASTE OF MONEY HITS UK CINEMAS THIS MONTH

Arrow Films has announced that Im Sang-soo’s acclaimed drama The Taste of Money, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival, will be released in selected UK cinemas on Friday 25th October 2013.

Who doesn’t like a bit of lust, seduction, decadence and betrayal, eh? One of South Korea's richest families is in the throes of crisis. Geum-ok (Yoon Yeo-jeong), wife of the disillusioned family-business President, Yoon (Baek Yun-shik), has just appointed her new personal secretary, a handsome and ambitious young man named Joo (Kim Kang-woo). Dealing with the families immoral-and illegal-activities whilst waiting for his own chance for financial reward, he witnesses an affair, and suddenly the balance of power shifts.

All Geum-ok can do is turn to the basest form of revenge left available to her. You’ve guessed it, cold-blooded murder. Joo has to decide between rescuing what is left of his moral soul and the plentiful supply of cold-hard-cash that sits waiting for him on wooden pallets in the household’s basement vault. It’s all about the money, money, money… You can watch the trailer below. DW
