Rivalling Crawl Bitch Crawl for best film name ever is Bring
Me The Head Of The Machine Gun Woman, an intriguing new movie Film4 Frightfest
has described as a “flashy and trashy grindhouse fare the way they used to make
them”, and you can watch the trailer below.
Opening in selected cinemas on 27th September
2013, followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release on Monday 7th October
2013, Ernesto Díaz Espinoza’s film follows Santiago (Matias Oviedo), a
nightclub DJ and videogame addict, who overhears one of the City’s most
dangerous criminals putting a hit on a hell-on-heels femme-fatale bounty hunter
named, you’ve guessed it, ‘The Machine Gun Woman’.
This shouldn’t end well for Santiago, but he cleverly
avoids execution by offering to bring her in. Is it some crackerjack quick
thinking from the party rocking maestro? Not quite. He’s given just 24 hours to make good on his
claim, turning his life into one of those violent video games he can only dream
of playing.
Seriously, Mario has nothing on this guy, with guns, women, and some barbarous bloodshed turning his world into a living nightmare. On the plus side, if you have to risk your life to bring someone in, there are worse options than Fernanda Urrejola, even with all that firepower at her disposal. Boom...
