Unhappiness can be a bridge to happiness, but try telling Saga Noren that. The Oresund Bridge, which sweeps across the Oresund strait between Sweden and Denmark, happens to be the longest bridge in Europe, and one of the most spectacular. But tonight it isn't chipper. Following hot on the heels of The Killing, another Scandinavian crime thriller has emerged to paint an even bleaker picture of this beautiful part of the world. So, is it worth the toll charge?

There's a body on the bridge. Slap bang in the middle, to be precise. Two half-bodies to be even more precise. The top-half has been meticulously placed in Swedish territory, the bottom half in Danish territory, so a bi-national Scandinavian detective team is put together to solve the crime.

Saga (Sofia Helin) a young, attractive Swede teams up with middle-aged loveable Danish rogue Martin (Kim Bodnia), hoping to track down the psychopath responsible, build a few bridges, and try to have fun doing it. But will they crack the case before the Porsche-driving train-wreck of a detective, Saga, cracks a smile?
